FSL uses an internal web platform to manage all their Team Members and Allocations, which works with external services for other types of data, like Hubspot for Deals and Lever for Candidates and Assessments. Also, a lot of data was stored and maintained in spreadsheets instead of proper databases. The focus of this project was to give FSL Admin App new features that would cover all of those needs more efficiently, unlocking new possibilities and services for their clients.
Since a project to cover these issues (FSA v1) was already on its way, our team decided to fast-track a refreshed version of FSA v0 with improved performance and a new design system that allowed for a dark theme that was heavily requested. We started calling this version Project Midway v0.1, and I worked on it until the v0.2 designs were done.
FS Admin App was dragging an old design system that wasn’t well documented, lacked support for themes, and didn’t fit the use cases for the different roles present in the platform.
To completely redesign the front-end of the FS Admin App, with full support for both light and dark modes, and also improve the User Experience without having to develop completely new features.
